Arabbix2
Introduction
Arabbix was started few years a go in an effort to offer the Arab-speaking world the chance to see what Linux was all about using the LiveCD, which did not interfere with their installed OS on their hard drive. This was 2+ years ago. Since then many Arabic-centric LiveCDs were started but I am not sure if any of them cought on in the Arab-speaking world.
Arabbix 2.0 intends to address that by using the most advanced distribution out there (Ubuntu) and fortify it with many Arabic specific features, art work, software, etc.
Contratry to the first release of Arabbix, we want to have a set of objectives, audience and deliverables that Arabbix 2.0 must meet. I am still discussing these on the list so feel free to check the discussions out on Arabeyes's general list at Arabeyes general mailing list
